Spend twelve astonishing days in British Columbia's scenic warm(ish)water Sound
Date: August 15-26 2008 - 12 Days
Cost: $1,500 per person

At latitude 52°, Desolation Sound is a narrowing inlet meandering into the coastal mountains of the "Sunshine Coast" of Canada, a remote land of rocky islands, steep cliffs and deep water, unnamed creeks and waterfalls.
Desolation Sound is a unique destination and the emphasis is less on sailing than on exploration. You and your shipmates will play in the sun, anchored in quiet coves beyond heavy tidal action, where depths are not charted and the "phone don't ring".
The Zodiac is outfitted with crab pots, 2 kayaks, a classic wooden pulling boat and a sturdy motored boat for fishing and crabbing. Away from the office, cell phones and the internet, enjoy the 'take of the day' on deck in the late afternoon, as well as three daily meals from the famous Zodiac Galley. Besides barbecues on deck, revisit the childhood memory of campfires with s'mores and singing ashore.
