Itinerary:Fresh Crab aboard Schooner Zodiac

Day I: Sailing to Lummi Island and Legoe Bay Winery
Day II: Lopez Island Vineyards
Day III: San Juan Island Vineyards
On board Vintner Hosts: Russ Nyborg, Whaler Vineyards, Rob Newsom, Boudreaux Cellars

This special cruise includes transportation to the wineries and a tour and tasting at each winery. Zodiac is equipped with several crab pots, and our captain knows the secret spots and secluded bays where we can catch the freshest crab you've ever tasted.

Each morning we will set sail to a new location to visit a vineyard, and along the way you will experience the natural wonder of these islands.

Each evening we'll drop anchor in a secluded bay and sample fresh local seafood delicacies prepared on board by our master chef Mark Wallace, accompanied with paired wines suggested by our on board wine experts.

Enjoy great NW wines and wonderfully fresh seafood as you wind your way through the spectacular beauty of the San Juan Islands.

Pacific Northwest Seafood chef Mark Wallace

Guest Chef Mark Wallace started his interest in wine when in high school, working at Tyee Vineyards, just outside of Corvallis Oregon. After graduating from College, Mark was hired by the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Palm Desert California as a corporate Wine Steward. During this time, Mark learned California wines and wine styles. In his position he educated staff on the different qualities of wine varietals and how they compliment different foods.

Mark has stayed in the food and wine arena since those early days working in the food and beverage world on a large scale. He has spent time at the Oregon Convention Center, Anaheim Convention Center, Phoenix Convention Center and most recently he is the General Manager of the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco California. As part of his job, Mark works closely with clients to plan meals and pair courses with wine selections. Mark continues his education on food and wines by taking classes at the Culinary Institute of America. In his free time, Mark spends time cooking, experiencing San Francisco's restaurant and wine scene and teaching about wines and food.
