A maritime oil painting workshop with distinguished NW artist, Austin Dwyer. Experience the beauty of sailing in the islands while capturing the images on canvas.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from an experienced and renown artist. The Zodiac herself makes for a unique and inspiring muse. Her cap-rails gleam with fresh varnish and her masts and rigging are excellent subject matter for marine painters.

This three-day workshop is designed to let passengers experience the thrill of sailing an historic tall ship through the beautiful San Juan islands and will allow for time to relax and paint at anchor as well as share portfolios and stories with other like minded artists.

Windjammer under full sailIn addition, there will be time for raising sail, a little sailing, and some great overnights spent at secluded anchorages, and some great food.  If you aren't an artist, and just want to come along for some Fall sailing - welcome aboard!

Austin Dwyer is an author, musician and painter. He is a life member and past president of The Puget Sound Group of N.W. Painters. He is also a signature member and board member of the American Society of Marine Artists.
