Join fellow micro-brewery lovers and home-brew fans from around the world on the Schooner Zodiac as she sets sail for famous San Juan Island brew-pubs!

Snoqualmie BreweryPike BreweryNorthwest ales are world renown and the San Juan Islands are home to several spectacular breweries. Enjoy four days of sailing onboard the Zodiac in the beautiful Puget Sound waters while celebrating the Pacific Northwest’s array of fine ales.

Your onboard hosts for this trip will be the brewers Dave Eiffert (Snoqualmie Brewery) and Kelly Weisse (Pike Brewery)

While aboard, discover how to sail a tall ship; take your place at the wheel and watch for dolphins, seals and whales. Learn how to pair different styles of NW ales with a variety of dishes and participate in brewing a batch of “Schooner Rat IPA” onboard at anchor. Tour island breweries and meet the owners and master brewers of such fine establishments as Pike Ales, Snoqualmie, Port Townsend Brewing Co. and more!
Meet other beer aficionados and fans. Bring some of your favorite recipes to share, questions for our experts and the local brew masters, and don’t forget your appetite!

After our kick-off evening at Pike Place Brewery in Seattle, guests have the option of early boarding and an overnight on the ship at South Lake Union.

Day 1Port Townsend Brewing
In the morning we will transit the Ballard Locks, a unique adventure if you've never experienced it from the deck of a tall ship. Tell your friends to come on down to the locks to wave you through! Then we will set sail up Puget Sound, arriving early afternoon at Port Townsend. After an afternoon at Port Townsend Brewing Company, you'll return to Zodiac anchored right off downtown. Dinner will be served on board. Then we'll break out the brewing gear and start brewing our famous Schooner Rat IPA.

Day 2
In the morning we'll weigh anchor and sail across the Straits of Juan deFuca to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. We'll visit Friday Harbor, then back aboard to drop anchor in the secluded Parks Bay. Our brewmaster from Pike Place Brewery will be hosting a sumptuous Brewmaster's Dinner aboard.

Day 3
Rockfish Pub and GrillSail through the stunning San Juan Islands to Anacortes, where we'll drop anchor and visit Rockfish Pub & Grill.

Day 4
After another day of meandering through the San Juan Islands, we'll make arrive at Bellingham, just a few steps from the Amtrak train which will take you back to Seattle, or North to Vancouver.

Return to Dock: 7/9/2010, 12:30 pm. If planning on making train or bus arrangements, please go to www.amtrak.com.
Note: The Schooner Zodiac does not include train reservations in this itinerary.
